Life is a Beach

I always did call the ocean my home;
Because my heart is always there,
no matter where I rome;

When I am at the ocean, I hear the crashing of the wave;
It brings me back to center, and my sanity it does save;

Looking out into the ocean and the vastness of it all;
You realize in comparison, this country’s is pretty small;

Living in Indiana surrounded by corn;
I know my heart is broken, always in a state of torn;

A sunrise over the ocean, is something you should see;
I can’t believe it happens, every morning without me;

When I start to think about it, it brings me to a tear;
Knowing that I can not be down there for another year;

When I am at the ocean my heart does it teach;
That’s why I always say, Life is a Beach.
